To preserve the quality of life in the Community by reviewing and, if appropriate, taking public positions in response to land use proposals and other similar matters of general interest to the Community.
To promote and participate in projects or activities, which will preserve or improve the quality of life in the Ute Pass area.
The Chipita Park Association became a Colorado Non-Profit Organization in 1950. We were and are pro-active in bettering our Community in many areas. Here are just a few:
1. Obtaining water treatment facility at no cost to the homeowner.
2. Limiting population density by requiring larger building lots.
3. Making certain the water in Fountain Creek remains clean.
4. Strengthening the enforcement of leash laws for dogs.
5. Reviewing zoning changes and proposals for new subdivisions.
6. Preserving valued community assets, such as Mt. Esther Trail.
7. Developing a Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
Letter To The Members 2010
Dear Member(s):
The printed Association Directory is a great help in keeping up with friends. The Association secretary begins sending out the Newsletters/Membership Applications by March 15th. Applications need to be in by April 10th to insure your name will appear in the Directory. Members joining after April 10th will be added in a supplement which will be available at the July potluck. We will not be posting the Directory on the website for privacy purposes.
Please take the time to look over our website. This year we are adding a photo section. All members are encouraged to send photos by email to info@chipitapark.org. They will be reviewed and posted as time permits. Historical as well as current photos will be considered. If you need photos scanned or have other questions (format, etc.)please call Bill 684-9054.
Included is a Membership Advertising Section for local businesses and services that our members may find of interest. Please support your local businesses whenever possible.
Come out and enjoy the Potlucks and Events at Marcroft Hall. This is a good time to meet your neighbors and enjoy some great food and programs. This year, as we did last year, we are having a social half-hour before the potlucks with a few beverages to provide a time for more interactions. As always, the Association will provide the main entrée and beverages. Please bring a vegetable, salad, or desert to share and your own table service. Look at the Calendar of Events section for dates and times.
If you are interested in renting Marcroft Hall, click on the Marcroft Hall link.
Members with (prior year status and current status) will receive membership pricing for rentals.
. Don Stefan (633-1676) can answer your questions and book the hall.
We hope you check back often for new updates. If you’d like to have something posted that pertains to the Chipita Park Community, please contact Kathrine Backe at 719-684-2603 or info@chipitapark.org.
Sincerely,
President and Board of Directors
